Just one hour from Boston and three hours from New York City, Providence is a capital city that is easily accessed but hard to forget. With a convenient, nearby airport, fast and reliable train service, and a straightforward bus system, exploring this great city and diverse region has never been easier.

It’s easy to get to Hotel Providence:

  • TF Green Airport – 10 miles south of the hotel
  • Boston Logan International Airport – 55 miles east of the hotel
  • Amtrak – The Capital Centre Project is just a 10-minute walk from our hotel, six (6) blocks away.
  • RIPTA – The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority, provides trolley service in downtown Providence and bus service across Rhode Island.

Flying to Providence

For those flying into Rhode Island, Warwick’s Green International Airport (PVD) is only 10 minutes from downtown Providence, and is conveniently located right off of Interstate 95. A favorite of business and leisure travelers, Green was named one of the top 10 airports in the U.S. in the Condé Nast Traveler 2017 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Green International Airport is easily accessible to Boston, Cape Cod and Southeastern New England. Green is a popular alternative to Boston’s Logan Airport and offers seamless transportation connections with direct access to MBTA train service.

Train to Providence

Providence is conveniently located on Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor route, which runs from Boston to Washington, D.C. and back. High-speed Acela service easily transports passengers from New York City to Providence in about two hours and 30 minutes.
