Charlotte and Mia are excited to organize KidLitCon 2019 in beautiful Providence, Charlotte’s hometown.
Charlotte Taylor of Charlotte’s Library
Charlotte Taylor has been blogging about children’s books at Charlotte’s Library for eleven years, and also writes for the Barnes and Noble Kid’s Blog. She came to Rhode Island many years ago for grad school, and though she didn’t plan on staying, she now works as an archaeologist for state historic preservation office and thinks Providence is awesome! She’s been involved with Kidlitcon for years, most recently as Program Coordinator for the past three meetings, and is thrilled to be hosting it in her home city.
Mia Wenjen of PragmaticMom
Mia Wenjen blogs on education, parenting and children’s books at PragmaticMom. She’s the co-creator of Multicultural Children’s Book Day, and co-founder of Aquent, a global creative staffing agency. She’s the author of HOW TO COACH GIRLS, co-written with Alison Foley, Boston College Women’s Soccer Head Coach. Her first picture book, SUMO JOE, is out March of 2019 through Lee and Low. She lives outside Boston with her husband, three kids and Golden Retriever, but has spent two summers exploring Providence when her oldest attended RISD Pre-College. She is is a huge fan of Providence and is excited to share her foodie finds with you!
